Technology in dance performance nowadays makes the movements and choreography extend beyond the dancers bodies. It includes groups that before didn't get to enjoy dance performances, for example non-sighted people. This could also extend into teaching.
Dance videos and screen dance, The digital space is a big part of the choreographic and performing dance field, in contemporary times. That comes with a lot of possibilities, challenges and responsibility when we consume and expose content on the internet.
Apps, In my teaching practice I try to integrate new useful technology such as musical apps into my physical workshops, online teaching and as a complementary homework assignment.
Zoom teaching, My experiences tell me that it might not be so effective to try to imitate a regular physical dance class in the Zoom-space. Rather see online teaching as a new kind of teaching situation that requires new methods.
